Malik, previously an Assistant Chief Information Officer, is now set to manage the planning and implementation of technology, design, and construction services at one of the nation's busiest airports. His expansive 20-year career in aviation showcases a deep familiarity with both the operational and developmental aspects of airport management.

Malik's elevation comes as no minor affair in the airline industry. Tasked to surely guide Sky Harbor through phases of strategic expansion, his role places him at the confluence of infrastructural enhancement and technological integration. Amidst his notable career accomplishments, Malik has been instrumental in the execution of significant capital development initiatives. These projects have included the $1.5 billion renovation of Terminal 3 at Phoenix Sky Harbor and a substantial $2 billion International Terminal project at Atlanta's airport, according to a statement obtained by the City of Phoenix.
