Haptech, Inc., a tech company based in New Orleans and named Louisiana’s Innovative Company of the Year, is expanding with a new partnership. The company plans to create 10 new jobs and keep 21 current positions. The Louisiana Economic Development’s FastStart program is helping Haptech train local workers in its specialized military training systems. Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois said, “We are excited to support this homegrown company on their groundbreaking work and thank them for their recommitment to our state and workforce.”

Haptech’s recoil technology and data-tracking dashboard are improving military and law enforcement training in Louisiana by lowering costs, reducing injuries, and simplifying logistics. Their linear motor system and ERIS product line replace traditional pneumatic-based weapons. CEO Kyle Monti said, "Growing our local technology workforce is a priority for Haptech." The company is working with Louisiana Economic Development FastStart to develop local tech teams.

New Orleans is supporting Haptech as the company grows in the city. City of New Orleans Director of Economic Development Jeff Schwartz said, “By creating high-wage jobs and deepening its roots here, the company is strengthening both the local economy and the nation’s defense readiness.” Haptech has nearly 100 patented and patent-pending technologies used by the U.S. Military and in gaming. People interested in working at Haptech can register for job alerts and updates through Opportunity Louisiana, according to the Louisiana Economic Development.
