
The New Orleans Police Department is seeking help from the community to identify and locate a man wanted for attempted second degree rape and simple robbery. The incident occurred in the early hours on Sunday, near the 200 block of South Broad Avenue. The NOPD has released a description of the suspect, urging anyone with information to come forward.
The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, approximately 5' 6" tall with a medium build and black hair tied back in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a black shirt sporting a Nike logo, grey pants, and black shoes. The department has circulated an image of the individual but has not yet made an arrest in the case.
According to NOPD News, the incident took place at around 6:19 a.m. The suspect's actions have prompted a swift response from law enforcement, with public safety being a paramount concern. NOPD is asking for anyone who might recognize the suspect or have any relevant details—no matter how small—to get in touch.
