New Orleans Police are currently on the search for a man implicated in an aggravated assault incident involving a firearm, and they are reaching out to the community for help. The NOPD has identified Donovan Jovan Pierre as the suspect, described as a 6-foot-tall, 210-pound Black male, born on May 8, 1985, and is believed to be connected with a dispute that escalated dangerously on the evening of June 2.
According to the NOPD, at around 6:30 p.m. located in the 900 block of Lamarque Street, it's alleged that Pierre brandished a handgun and threatened four individuals during what has only been described as a "dispute," once he realized that someone had alerted the authorities, Pierre made his getaway in a 2015 Lincoln MKZ sedan, notable for its damaged rear bumper and Louisiana license plate 862HEK; authorities are keen on anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
There is an outstanding warrant for Pierre's arrest, and the NOPD has released his photograph to aid in their appeal for public assistance. The Lincoln MKZ sedan he fled in has been provided to the public with photographs to assist in the identification and location.
