The Norman Police Department apprehended a 59-year-old man identified as Anthony Rose in connection with a stabbing incident. The event occurred in the 300 block of Comanche Street, and Rose was arrested on Tuesday, according to official reports released by the local authorities.
It was on Tuesday morning around 10:08 a.m. that the NPD responded to a call reporting a disturbance in the 300 block of E. Comanche Street. Upon their arrival, officers discovered an individual suffering from a stab wound. The preliminary investigation by Norman police suggests that a verbal altercation between two individuals escalated when Rose allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the other party before departing the scene. The victim, whose injuries were deemed non-life-threatening by medical personnel, was subsequently transported to an area hospital.
Later that day, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers located Rose in the 1100 block of Porter Avenue. He was taken into custody without further incident and was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center. Rose now faces one complaint of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
The investigation of this stabbing incident is still actively underway by the NPD Criminal Investigations Division.
