Officers responding to a call at around 10:13 a.m. discovered the body of Monyette Marie Stephenson, 45, with a fatal gunshot wound. According to the Anne Arundel County Police, as reported by WMAR2 News, there was no weapon at the scene, leading authorities to suspect an act of homicide.
Investigators swiftly recovered surveillance footage that implicated Monyette's estranged husband, Trimall Stephenson, 48, as the perpetrator. Trimall, an employee of the Smith Bus Service, was later found at a rest stop in Hamilton, New Jersey. Upon confrontation by law enforcement, he shot and killed himself.
