A grave car accident occurred on Friday night in Northwest Baltimore, leaving one person dead and another severely injured, as reported by both WMAR-2 News and Fox Baltimore. The crash, involving a single vehicle that struck multiple parked cars before overturning, happened in the 4300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue around 9:30 p.m.
Baltimore police and emergency responders found the wreckage and declared the driver deceased at the scene. At the same time, a 40-year-old male passenger was transported to a hospital in serious condition. The crash site was closed off as detectives from the Accident Investigation Unit began their examination, collecting evidence backed by forensics investigators with 3D laser scanning and drone technology.
The identity of the deceased has not been released pending family notification, and the severely injured man remains in critical condition at a local medical facility.
