Phoenix is reeling from a series of recent shootings, with police and local authorities urgently seeking the public's assistance in apprehending suspects involved in two separate incidents in the west side of the city. According to a report by ABC15, an early Saturday morning shooting near 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road left two men injured with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The suspected shooter fled the scene prior to police arrival, prompting a city-wide search.
This comes on the heels of another tragic occurrence where two other men were fatally injured by gunshot wounds in a Thursday afternoon incident. As mentioned by KTAR News, the victims were located at the intersection of 67th Avenue and Indian School Road. The men, identified as Mario Martinez, 36, and Luis Mendez-Armenta, 33, subsequently died from their injuries, one at the scene and the latter at a nearby hospital.
