The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is continuing its investigation into a double homicide that occurred in Pineview, Georgia, last month. According to a Georgia Bureau of Investigation press release, the victims were identified as 36-year-old Nathadius Kenta Lawson and 40-year-old Charleston Calix, both residents of Pineview.

Quintavis Holt, 39, also of Pineview and the brother of former Mayor Brandon Holt, was arrested on Friday last week. He faces charges including two counts of malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The arrest followed a search led by multiple agencies after Holt was previously listed as armed and dangerous.

The shooting occurred during a gathering at a residence on Depot Street, where both victims were fatally shot. The motive for the shooting has not been released. Once the investigation is complete, the case will be turned over to the Cordele Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review and potential prosecution.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is encouraging anyone with information related to the incident to contact them. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the GBI’s hotline, website, or mobile app. The investigation remains ongoing.
