In a targeted effort to disrupt illegal narcotics and firearm activity, Portland police seized drugs, cash, and weapons during a raid on May 14. Acting on information from a proactive patrol mission, officers from the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit cooperated with several other enforcement teams to issue a search warrant at a residence in the 1600 block of Northeast 66th Avenue, as reported by the Portland Police Bureau.
Arrests made included 46-year-old Patrick J. Rambert and 31-year-old Brianna M. Streeter, who were both from Portland; Rambert had an outstanding warrant for criminially negligent homicide, the bust yielded 195.4 grams of cocaine and $9,424 suspected to be drug proceeds, and officers also found three illegal handguns, one of which was partially hidden between two red cushions. Continuing the operation, a subsequent search warrant for a related storage unit on May 15, resulted in the confiscation of an additional six firearms and over a thousand rounds of ammunition, with all items being flagged as illegally possessed by the individuals involved.
Triggered by actionable intelligence gathered during their patrol work, the Portland police highlighted the depth of investigation by mentioning extensive surveillance and follow-ups which led to the development of probable cause and the carrying out of these warrants; this detail-oriented work emphasized how officers diligently build cases to apprehend suspects and confiscate illicit materials. The seized items, including rifles and handguns along with various ammunition and cases, were displayed by the police as evidence of the substantial illicit arsenal in play.
Both Rambert and Streeter are now facing multiple charges related to the manufacturing, delivery, and possession of a controlled substance as well as felon in possession of a firearm - these charges demonstrate the gravity of the crimes and reflect the multifaceted nature of the offenses.
