In an act blending compassion with community service, Rome Police Department's PFC Evan Roden recently became a rescuer to a kitten in an unusual situation. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Roden was dispatched following a report of a kitten hanging by a string from a bicycle in Rome, Georgia. The officer's quick response ensured the kitten was safely freed from its precarious entanglement.
The story took a heartwarming turn when Roden decided to not only save the kitten but also to provide it a permanent refuge. "Not all superheroes wear capes… some wear a badge and improvise as zookeepers when duty calls," the Rome Police Department shared on their Facebook page, as communicated by 11Alive.
