The Rotary Club of North Cobb recently thanked the Mayor and Board of Aldermen during a city council meeting for their support of the 2025 Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival. The acknowledgment followed the event, which faced weather-related challenges but still raised significant funds.
According to the City of Acworth’s website, the annual festival is held at Logan Farm Park and is organized in partnership with the Rotary Club of North Cobb, the Acworth Business Association, and the Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department. It is one of the Rotary Club’s main fundraising events.
At the regular city council meeting on Thursday last week, Rotary Club members noted that the continued support from city officials played a key role in the event's success.
The Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival features food and music and attracts both residents and visitors. Proceeds from the festival go toward community service projects supported by the North Cobb Rotary Club.
Despite the weather-related difficulties, organizers and city officials worked together to ensure the event proceeded successfully, helping maintain its role as a key community fundraiser.
