The Salem Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 11-year-old girl, Anayling Rodriguez. According Salem Police Department's Facebook post, she left her home on Salem Street at approximately 2:40 a.m. and was last seen around 3:00 a.m. near Leach Street and Eden Street.
Anayling is described as 5'3" tall, thin, with long dark hair. She was last seen wearing a blue shirt and carrying a pink backpack. She is originally from Lynn and recently moved to Salem, and may not be familiar with the area.
Police are asking residents to check areas such as basements, porches, outbuildings, RVs and trailers, and garages. They also request that security footage from 2:40 a.m. onward be reviewed.
There will be an increased police presence in the area as the search continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Salem Police Department at (978) 744-1212 and refer to case number 25-19029.
