Pennsylvania State Police are on the search for a man they believe to be responsible for a series of thefts across St. Clair Township, after a spree of burglaries targeted local businesses and a church. The incidents, which occurred between May 26 and June 8, have unsettled the community.
Officials have disclosed that an unidentified suspect looted Stiles Hardware on Van Horn Street, where cash and goods, including copper wire, were removed. Similarly, at Stiles Creamery, money was also taken from the cash register, according to TribLIVE. Tools believed to have been used in the break-ins, a large pipe wrench and a hammer, were discovered at the separate crime scenes.
In a more sacrilegious act, Holy Family Church on Bridge Street was also violated, with a gold chalice, keys, and audio equipment stolen after the suspect managed entry through a window. Surveillance images of the suspect have been released to aid in identifying and apprehending the individual responsible for these violations of public trust.
The State Police earnestly request the assistance of anyone with information that could lead to the suspect's capture. Those with potential leads are encouraged to contact the Greensburg State Police station at 724-832-3288 or to submit tips to PSP Tips at 1-800-472-8477. Details can also be offered online, CBS News Pittsburgh reported.
