A second man has been arrested following the April armed robbery of a couple who had just returned to their Glenview home. Glenview Police have now taken 21-year-old Amarion Ray-Williams of Dolton into custody, following his arrest by the Chicago Police Department on Monday. According to FOX32 Chicago, Ray-Williams was charged with armed robbery with a firearm before being transferred to the Cook County Sheriff's Department for a conditions hearing on Tuesday.

This latest arrest comes on the heels of Angelo B. Hatter, 26 of Chicago, who was arrested and faced similar charges on June 6. Caught on doorbell video on the evening of April 21st, the robbery pictured the victims, Gregory Poulos and his wife Angie Beltsos, confronted by armed suspects just as they were arriving at their home in the 1700 block of Bluestem Lane. The suspects, donning dark clothing and black face coverings, demanded their belongings at gunpoint.

The horrific encounter did not result in physical harm to the victims, yet the robbers made away with a purse, cellphones, a wallet, clothing, and approximately $60,000 in jewelry. Discovered later in Chicago, the suspect's Jaguar SUV was abandoned in the 4300 block of Federal Street. The victims, recalling the ordeal, shared that they had to lie on the ground "execution style" as guns were aimed at them. Angie Beltsos, sharing her fears, told FOX32 Chicago, "Guns pointed at us and I thought, 'Oh my God, is this how this is gonna end?".

While details of how the police connected Ray-Williams and Hatter to the crime have not been disclosed, the investigation by the Glenview Police is ongoing. Public assistance is encouraged, and those with any relevant information are urged to contact the Glenview Police Tip Line at 847-901-6055, as announced by ABC7 Chicago. Police are yet to identify the remaining suspect involved in the armed robbery. Greg Poulos, leaning on his Navy experiences, used de-escalation tactics to navigate through the terrifying event, emphasizing that in such moments the robbers, with firearms in their possession, "are in charge".
