However, come Wednesday, mercury is expected to notch up a bit higher, signaling a warm and clear day with a high near 88 degrees. "Sunny, with a high near 83," announces the forecast for Tuesday, suggesting a calm start to the midweek, as per the NWS.
The latter half of the week continues this warm trend, Thursday maintaining mostly sunny skies and a high of 87 degrees, but introduces a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms post-midnight. The forecast, keeping in line with the pattern, predicts an increase in the likelihood of rain towards the end of the week. "A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms," Friday's forecast reads, coupled with predominantly cloudy conditions and highs peaking around 86 degrees, according to the NWS forecast.

Sunday, however, doesn't seem to break the trend, as it comes bundled with a 50 percent chance of more showers and thunderstorms. St. Louis citizens will have to tread through mostly cloudy conditions one more time, with the daytime high anticipated to reach the mid-80s yet again.
