Get ready music lovers, Sunset Saturday is making its melodious mark on 370 Lakeside Park this Saturday, offering an eclectic mix of tunes spanning from the groovy '50s to the pulsating beats of today's rock — and the best part, it's all free. As reported by St. Peters official website, the event will showcase bands Butch Wax & The Hollywoods and Trixie Delight bringing nostalgia and fresh energy to the lakeside stage.
With the action kicking off at 4 p.m. music aficionados can savor a symphony of flavors too, as food and drink sales go live an hour earlier at 3 p.m., catering to all tastes, starting with drinks at the Thirsty Gator and ranging to a diverse selection of food trucks including Mr. Papas 2 Go, Little Brazil, SNS Goodies, Rob’s Smoke Shack and for those with a sweet tooth, Udderly Moolicious and Lulu’s are on hand to serve up desserts, though food trucks are subject to change.
Visitors are encouraged by the City of St. Peters to bring their lawn chairs since the sheltered seating underneath the Corporate Pavilion is limited and popular, and outside alcohol is welcome in the lawn areas but leave the glassware and pets at home. Parking is exclusively within the park's lots with a handy shuttle bus for transport to the Pavilion so arrive early to snag a spot or risk missing out as once the lots are maxed out, no additional vehicles will be permitted entrance.
Looking ahead, after a brief intermission, Sunset Events are primed to return on Aug. 20 with a twist of thespianism as Shakespeare in the Park performs A Midsummer Night's Dream and Sunset Fridays are back on Aug. 22 featuring the Joe Metzka Band, this cultural carousel keeps spinning until the second Sunset Saturday wraps the season on Sept. 20.
