The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety received a call at 7:42 PM on May 29 about multiple gunshots fired on the 900 block of S. Wolfe Road. According to a bulletin posted by the Sunnyvale Police Department, officers arrived to find an adult male victim with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical aid, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect was eventually identified as Jesus Aguilera, 44, of Sunnyvale. Aguilera, who eluded capture at the time of the incident, was apprehended yesterday in Oakland, without incident, and has since been charged with murder. The police have expressed gratitude to nearby law enforcement agencies, including the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office and the San Leandro and Oakland Police Departments, for their assistance in the arrest.
