Another arrest has been made months after a fatal shooting at a motorcycle gathering in Forest Park. Marvin Judge was taken into custody and faces charges for felony murder and violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Judge's arrest last Friday adds to the list of those connected to the violence that occurred back in April.
The incident, which claimed the lives of Isaiah Mack and Anthony Hearns, happened during a gathering said to be attended by rival motorcycle clubs. To quickly apprehend the suspect, Judge was reportedly placed on the most wanted list, and with the assitance of the Butts County Sheriff's Office, was successfully captured. 11Alive reports that the previous arrests in May of Nigel Blackwood and Donnell McKnight, who are also believed to be associated with the Outcast Motorcycle Gang, were a turning point in the investigation.
Police have suggested that the shooting resulted from a territorial dispute between the Outcast Motorcycle Gang, which is based in Georgia, and the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club, believed to be trying to establish a foothold in the area. In a statement obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta, Forest Park Police Chief Brandon Criss indicated the fight was over "territory dispute," with neither group having significant ties in the Forest Park area prior to the incident.
The venue where the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club gathered was later determined to be operating without a proper business license. As a result, the property on 1st Street received a cease and desist order and a citation for running an unlicensed business, police said. 11Alive highlighted that this crackdown came in the wake of the shooting, which drew attention to the unlicensed operation.
All three men, including the recently apprehended Judge, are currently in custody at the Clayton County Jail, where they are awaiting trial. Authorities have not disclosed whether Judge is directly connected to the Outcast Motorcycle Gang, but the charges leveled against him suggest an association with gang activities.
Members of the community with information about the shooting are encouraged to reach out to the Forest Park Police Department. Calls might be crucial in assisting the ongoing investigation and providing closure to a case that has affected many in the Forest Park area.
