According to a social media post by CAL FIRE CZU San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit, the blaze was reported at around 1:15 AM on Starlite Drive and quickly engaged by first responders, who were faced with a deck in flames and an imminent threat to the attached residence.
The home's occupants managed to escape independently, avoiding injury before the fire teams arrived.
