A somber silence lingers over Tazewell after a shooting on Miley Drive left one man dead, and a 10-year-old boy critically wounded. The Tazewell Police Department responded to the scene yesterday evening at approximately 8:17 p.m., where they discovered the two victims, both suffering from gunshot wounds. According to a news release from the Tazewell Police Department, as reported by WATE, attempts were made to save the young boy's life at the scene until EMS could arrive.
The Tazewell Police noted that the juvenile was subsequently airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. No further details regarding the identity of the deceased or the circumstances leading to the incident, have been released at this point in time. It has been reported by WBIR that, the ongoing investigation is being supported by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
