Sevier County has become the setting of a grim narrative, with three individuals charged in connection with a calculated shooting incident that left two people and a dog with severe injuries. As detailed by a WVLT report, the accused are Lenore Sills, Quinton Cross, and Timothy Robertson, with Sills facing the brunt of the charges including attempted first-degree murder and aggravated animal cruelty.
The events unfolded on Maples Branch Road where multiple shots were fired into a home. According to a WBIR article, these tragic circumstances led to an extensive investigation, which managed to efficiently gather substantial evidence, thanks to vigilant community members who provided video footage and tips. In the wake of the arrests, the Sevier County Sheriff, Michael Hodges, lauded the exemplary coordination of law enforcement and the contributions of the public.
Despite the violence inflicted upon them, both victims were reportedly able to quickly receive medical care and have since been released from the hospital. The Sevier County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) has requested continued vigilance from residents, encouraging the submission of any additional information that could potentially aid in the ongoing investigation.
In the arrest announcement posted on Facebook, Sheriff Hodges reiterated the severity of the incident, "This was not a random act of violence, but instead a planned, calculated and isolated incident."
