Violence occurred in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood last night when three individuals were shot near the Dorchester/Roxbury line. Boston Police responded around 9:25 p.m. to a report of a shooting near 81 Wayland Street, according to NBC10 Boston.
Two men were found with gunshot wounds and received initial aid from responders before being transported to a local hospital. Boston 25 News reports that their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. A third victim was found shortly afterward, but the severity of their injuries has not been confirmed.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Police maintained a strong presence at the scene, with streets blocked off by police tape, limiting access for nearby residents.
Local resident Mariah Wharwood told NBC10 Boston, "I haven't been living here for that long, I've seen cops around, but I've never seen a scene this big where they block off basically a whole, everything." Boston Police have not released information about a possible motive or suspect. The investigation remains active.
