After several years of hiatus because of light rail construction, berry enthusiasts can once again enjoy the agrarian experience in Bellevue starting this weekend on June 28-29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., as reported by Bellevue's official city news.
For those looking to dip their hands in nature's bounty, U-pick at both Mercer Slough and Larsen Lake will run Tuesday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting July 8. According to details shared on Blueberry Farms' website, farm stands will also operate Wednesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, from 10-5 p.m. In a refreshing twist, the first 200 patrons to buy U-pick blueberries at Mercer Slough on July 8 will be treated to free ice cream sandwiches, sweetening the deal of their agricultural adventure.
Bellevue’s agricultural scene has been rejuvenated with the completion of a new Mercer Slough farm stand in August 2024, standing proudly at 2220 Bellevue Way SE to replace the previous stand disrupted by Sound Transit’s line 2 development. This stand, managed by Cha New Life, not only sells blueberries but boasts an array of fresh fruit, vegetables, cut flowers, and other locally sourced produce.
