The St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation recently received a $250,000 donation from Valero to support upgrades at New Sarpy Park. Planned improvements include a new playground, upgraded fencing, a new backstop, and an improved pavilion for the basketball court, according to the St. Charles Parish.
A recent ceremony marked the official presentation of a donation for the New Sarpy Park renovation. “We appreciate Valero’s continued investment in our community and their generous contribution toward the renovation of New Sarpy Park,” said Parish President Matthew Jewell. The project is expected to begin in early 2026, as reported by the St. Charles Parish.
St. Charles Parish and Valero are each providing $250,000 to fund a $500,000 upgrade to New Sarpy Park. The project is expected to be completed in late 2026. “Partnerships like this are essential to helping us enhance the quality of life for our residents,” said Duane Foret, Parks and Recreation Director.
