Waffle House Tests New 'Classic Blend Cold Brew' in Select Atlanta Locations

In a move that might have regulars doing a double-take at the menu, Waffle House is cooling things down with their latest beverage option, a 'Classic Blend Cold Brew'. This new addition is currently in a testing phase at nine select locations across metro Atlanta, as per reports from FOX 5 Atlanta. The diner chain, famed for its hot coffee served in their easily recognizable white mugs, is exploring refrigerated territories with an 11-ounce canned cold brew that’s lightly sweetened with cream and on sale for $3.95.

According to 11Alive, the locations offering this chill twist include spots like the Roswell Road and Buford Highway NE eateries. Waffle House, whose association with warm breakfasts is as integral as syrup on a waffle, is clearly branching out beyond its hot coffee roots. The cold brew is said to boast the diner's "classic blend with sweet cream."

With more than 1,900 restaurants in 25 states, Waffle House is no small player in the diner game. While the FOX 5 Atlanta report notes that the Norcross-based company has remained mum on any plans to expand the cold brew to other markets, the results of the test could prove crucial in determining its role in future Waffle House menus.

Meanwhile, besides the cold brew, Waffle House continues serving up its hot coffee varieties—Classic, Dark Roast, and Premium Decaf—in-store and online.
