The City of White Settlement has announced an upgrade to its Public Works department with the acquisition of a new bucket truck. This announcement came via a social media post that showcased the truck’s capabilities and highlighted its significance for the Public Works team.
Described as the first of its kind for the fleet, the bucket truck will play a pivotal role in handling various tasks that until now required less efficient means, tasks such as installing and replacing street signs, trimming trees and clearing overhanging limbs, changing out traffic signals and lighting and accessing maintenance areas on city buildings that were hard-to-reach could be completed more safely and efficiently, providing the city with better mobility and stability along with organized compartments that are designed to keep tools and equipment secure.
While the new truck wasn't employed on the very day of the announcement—as conditions necessitated the use of a lift due the wind and the sign’s size and weight—the city expressed its commitment to bolstering its public service fronts. "We’re proud to support our hardworking Public Works crew with the tools they need to keep White Settlement running smoothly and beautiful," the City of White Settlement expressed on their Facebook page.
