In a recent social media post, the organization detailed a week brimming with creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning ahead of the holiday week.
It kicked off with a screening of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" on Monday. According to the White Settlement Community Services, Sonic fans were thrilled to see their favorite character zoom through another adventure. The following day, Storytime transitioned into an art workshop where kids got to create sculptures with air-dry clay, while the Teen Summer Club celebrated "Make a Terrible Comic Day," giving rise to a surge in comic design and storytelling among local youths.
The latter half of the week didn't fail to captivate the youngsters' attention either. Thursday's TinkerLab session saw children of all ages making slime and exploring wind power, diving into a spectrum of STEM-inspired activities. Friday's events drew even larger crowds, with a successful presentation by Wildlife on the Move titled "Cool Cold-Blooded Critters." The live show included scaly, slithery, and shelled animals, providing kids with a rare opportunity to handle these creatures and learn about their unique traits. On the same day, artists, both novice and skilled, gathered for the monthly Artist Trading Card Meetup, a growing program focused on miniature collectible art and community building.
