Boston Mayor Michelle Wu has appointed Zoë Petty as the new Hyde Park Liaison for the Office of Neighborhood Services. In this role, Petty will work to connect residents with city services, gather community input on government issues, and help ensure timely responses to service requests.
According to the City of Boston release, Petty is a Boston native with experience in the Governor's Office of Community Affairs and the Community College of Philadelphia. She began participating in civic engagement as a teenager and has worked in both local and international politics.
The Office of Neighborhood Services helps residents access city services and provides a platform for community involvement in government. As the liaison for Hyde Park, Petty will engage with residents, local businesses, and civic organizations.
Hyde Park residents can meet with Petty during weekly office hours or at upcoming Coffee Hours with the Mayor. Non-emergency issues can be reported by calling 3-1-1 or using the BOS:311 app, available on iOS and Android.
