An 8-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet in St. Louis this past Monday, according to local authorities. The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Cherokee Street, in the Benton Park West neighborhood. Fox 2 Now reports that older children were involved in the mishap, inadvertently setting off the gun while they were playing with it.
Following the shooting, the injured child was swiftly transported to a hospital in a police SUV, where he was listed in stable condition. The St. Louis police took into custody a 12-year-old boy in connection with the shooting, which unfolded as the children were reportedly handling the weapon. As stated by Fox 2 Now, the juvenile involved has not been identified by name.
