The incident, which claimed the life of a 35-year-old male, took place on January 9, at an address on Fisher Road SE. Lawson, whose charges also cover firearm possession during a felony and by a convicted felon, was apprehended with support from the Paulding County Sheriff's Office and is currently being held at Fulton County Jail, as Atlanta Police Department reported.
The severity of the case was underscored by the victim's critical condition upon being transported to the hospital; he sustained gunshot wounds that ultimately led to his death, as confirmed by medical staff. After Lawson's recent arrest, he was swiftly transferred to the custody of the local jail for processing, Atlanta Police worked in conjunction with neighboring law enforcement entities to facilitate the apprehension.
Back in January, officers were summoned to the site of the shooting at around 10:42 p.m., confronted with a scene that would evolve into a months-long investigation. The Homicide Unit of the Atlanta Police Department has been actively piecing together the events, striving to comprehend the motives and movements that resulted in this grim outcome.
