Atlanta streets are safer today after the Atlanta Police Department’s Auto Crimes Enforcement (ACE) Unit cracked down on a major auto theft ring. Working with other investigative teams, the ACE Unit made several key arrests, recovered multiple stolen vehicles, and seized a number of firearms. The operation focused on criminal activity at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as released in a recent statement by the Atlanta Police Department.
Through relentless surveillance and detailed intelligence gathering, the Atlanta Police Department’s ACE Unit successfully linked suspects to a series of auto thefts, including a violent carjacking, as detailed by the Atlanta Police Department.
While arrests have been made and stolen property recovered, the Atlanta Police Department says the investigation is far from over. Officers continue to follow new leads and are prepared to make additional arrests connected to the organized auto theft ring.
