
Glendale Police Department, along with fire crews, conducted a grim recovery effort at a local Glendale lake, retrieving the body of an adult male. As reported by FOX 10 Phoenix, the incident occurred in the vicinity of 58th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Police were called to the scene at approximately 1:30 p.m. after city workers were alerted by residents who reported the sighting of the body.
Upon firefighters' arrival to Bonsall Park, which is known for its community fishing program and sits near Bethany Home Road and 59th Avenue, the man's body was discovered floating face down, indicating that it had been contained in the lake for quite a while. This information came to light after a response to a call regarding a potential drowning, 12 News reported.
Right now, the man’s identity and the cause of his death are still unknown. The case is under investigation by authorities. The Glendale Police Department is asking anyone with information to come forward and help with the case.
