In a display of community engagement, the Boston Police Department (BPD) brought together law enforcement and local seniors over cups of coffee and casual conversation. According to the official BPD news blog, officers from District E-5 and recruits from the BPD Academy participated in a "community coffee hour" at the Boston Lodge of Elks in West Roxbury.
The event featured not only the officers, but also the BPD's comfort dog, Copper and their Ice Cream Truck. It's described as a successful morning that fostered "conversation, connection, and community", with HP Hood and the Boston Police Foundation's COP Fund instrumental in orchestrating the event.
