The Boston Police Department is calling on the public for help regarding a larceny that took place late last month, as shown in images released on their official website. The incident, as reported, unfolded on Saturday, May 24, at Sip Cafe located at 0 Post Office Square, where a patron's purse was snatched while she enjoyed the outdoor seating area, as reported by the Boston Police Department.
According to the Boston Police Department statement, the victim set her purse to rest beside her on the ground only to find it absent shortly after, a common enough tale that serves as a stern reminder of the vigilance city life demands. In the course of their investigation, detectives caught sight of a suspect, described as a tall white male dressed in dark clothing riding a blue bicycle, having been seen entering the cafe possessing the victim's purse, making a purchase, and then departing without incident.
District A-1 detectives are actively investigating the case and carefully going through every detail. Anyone who may have helpful information is strongly encouraged to come forward. To stay anonymous, tips can be shared by calling 1-800-494-TIPS (8477), texting "TIP" to CRIME (27463), or submitting information online through the Boston Police CrimeStoppers website.
