Residents of the 3000 block of Cowden Street were rattled by an audacious daylight theft last week. According to a report by the Memphis Police Department, a package worth over $3,000 was swiped from a front porch last Friday, around 1:00 p.m. Witnesses described the thief as a dark-complected Black male with a goatee, sporting a gray T-shirt and light-colored pants.
The suspect's approach was bold and direct; he parked a dark-colored car conspicuously in front of the victim's home before committing the theft. Memphis Police have called for anyone with information to come forward and have provided a tip line for the community. They encourage contacting Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH with any details that might assist in the investigation.
