Last night in Brentwood, gunfire broke the quiet near Lone Tree Way and Jeffery Way just before midnight. An adult man driving in the area was shot at but was not hurt. According to the Brentwood Police Department, the incident happened quickly, prompting an urgent police response.
The alleged aggressors didn't manage to evade capture for long. An Oakley Police Officer came across the suspect vehicle and acted to detain its two inhabitants, 43-year-old Aniya Henry and 21-year-old Gus Wayne, both of whom hail from Oakley. It did not take long for the charges to mount: Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, among others, were swiftly levied against the pair.
In an unexpected turn, a third person got involved. Daezhara Little, 24, from Antioch, was arrested, not for the original crime, but for interfering with the police. Even though Little was only on the sidelines of the incident, trying to block the investigation led to being taken to the Martinez Detention Facility with Henry and Wayne.
