Casa Grande residents, mark your calendars for an important Public Hearing on city transit. The City of Casa Grande has announced it will be taking public comment on Phase 4 of the 5-Year Transit Implementation Plan. This phase includes a service expansion and an increase in the maximum number of revenue vehicles. People can weigh in on the proposed changes which will see service hours extended to Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm, and the service area expanded to include areas north up to Korsten Road.
The hearing will take place on July 23, in two sessions — the first at Dorothy Powell Senior Center from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, and the second at City Hall Council Chambers from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. According to an announcement on the City of Casa Grande's website, the fare is slated to be $1.50 per one-way trip, and the increase in vehicle number means up to four vehicles will be operating at peak times. The implementation date for these changes is set for November 3, 2025.
The public comment period will open on the day of the hearing and run until August 22 at 5:00 p.m. Comments can be made in person at the public hearing by completing a CG LINK Comment Card, or they can be submitted online, via email to CG Link with “CG LINK Public Hearing” in the subject line, or by mail to the provided address. City of Casa Grande also offers the unique option of handing your comments directly to a CG LINK Driver in an envelope.
