The City of Casa Grande is on the lookout for residents interested in shaping the future of public safety in their community. According to an announcement on the city's website, applications are now open for positions on the newly established Public Safety Advisory Board (PSAB).
According to City of Casa Grande - Government, this seven-member board will serve as a bridge between the city's public safety departments and the community at large, fostering a "community-based approach to the delivery of public safety services." Members selected by the Mayor, and backed by the Council's approval, will embark on a three-year term, discussing and advising on pressing public safety issues during quarterly meetings set for the second Thursday of each calendar quarter at 6:00 p.m.
The PSAB aims to enhance communication between the community and public safety departments, encouraging citizens from "all segments of the community to present their views or concerns about public safety issues that affect our city as a whole," as laid out in the City of Casa Grande - Government City's call for applications.
Residents of Casa Grande keen on applying for the PSAB can find applications and additional information on the city's website, or directly at the City Clerk's Office located at 510 E. Florence Boulevard. The cutoff for application submissions is Friday, August 8, by 4:00 p.m. For those who have questions or need further details, Deputy City Clerk Evonne Aldana has been listed as the point of contact and can be reached at (520) 421-8600 ext. 1100.
