
A Chicago man, identified as Philip Dominguez, faces multiple charges including hate crimes and criminal damage to property, the Chicago Police Department announced. Dominguez, 38, was apprehended by police on the afternoon of July 26 in his home neighborhood of S. Springfield Ave., following an investigation into vandalism that took place across two different spots within the city's 10th District.
Dominquez reportedly defaced properties on the 2700 block of W. Cermak and the 2500 block of S. Central Park between July 19 and 20, igniting concerns among community members who were left feeling targeted by the hateful displays, the details of the incidents remain under wraps for now but what is known has been enough to press serious charges against Dominguez.
