Clayton County is hosting a fun evening that combines basketball and movies. Parks and Recreation Director Nicole Horne invites the community to a special Drive-In Movie Night, offering a mix of sports excitement and movie magic for all to enjoy. The outdoor screening is set for Friday, July 26, at the Gerald Matthews Sports Complex in Hampton, GA. Doors will swing open at 6:00 p.m.
Before settling in to watch Love and Basketball, the beloved 2000 film, guests can enjoy a lineup of fun pre-movie activities. According to Clayton County’s announcement, the evening will kick off with a Couples Free Throw Contest. There will also be an NBA 2K gaming station for some virtual hoops action. And local food trucks will be on hand serving up a variety of tasty eats throughout the night.
This event is free and geared toward adults 21 and over, offering a nostalgic drive-in movie experience at the Gerald Matthews Sports Complex, 1935 McDonough Road. The movie begins at 8 p.m., but guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy pre-show activities and secure a good spot.
