The Cloquet Police Department has reached out to the public for assistance in the pursuit of two males involved in an armed robbery at a Kwik Trip store in Cloquet, Minnesota. According to a social media post by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the robbery occurred in the early hours of the morning on July 12. The suspects, said to be light-skinned and approximately 6 feet tall, were both clad in dark hooded tops and dark pants. One of the suspects is described as thin and was wearing white tennis shoes and light-colored gloves, while the other suspect was wearing black tennis shoes, a brown bag face mask, and dark gloves at the time of the robbery.
Reports from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's Facebook page indicate that the suspects entered the store on Washington Avenue just after 4:30 a.m. and brandished a firearm to swiftly steal an undisclosed sum of money. They apparently managed to quickly leave the scene on foot, and investigators speculate they may have eventually decided to escape in a vehicle.
As the investigation unfolds, local authorities have been canvassing the area for any signs of the individuals responsible for what seems to have been a premeditated theft. The Cloquet Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to step forward, hoping to catch the suspects as soon as possible.
The department requests that anyone who can offer any details please not hesitate to reach out by contacting them at 218-879-1247 or through email at [email protected]. The cooperation of the community is seen as a vital component in the intricate effort to bring the perpetrators to justice and to potentially prevent further incidents of a similar nature from happening in the future.
