Last Tuesday, Commissioner Woodward visited the Alzheimer’s Community Care and Service Center in Boca Raton, carving out time to engage with the environment dedicated to supporting individuals afflicted with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The tour, hosted by Director of Philanthropy Jennifer Kryshka, showcased a variety of therapeutic activities designed to enrich the lives of those battling memory loss.
During his time at the community center, Commissioner Woodward took part in a morning filled with “exercise, trivia, and cornhole,” as reported by an article published by Palm Beach County Government. This hands-on experience served to accentuate the importance of providing a safe and engaging environment for those who oftentimes find themselves marginalized in our swiftly flowing stream of daily happenings.
For those seeking more information or looking to support the cause, details are available on the organization’s website.
