The community engagement has intensified following a report by the Wareham Police Department about a missing teen in the region. The search encompasses local and regional police assets, including the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (SEMLEC), to find 19-year-old Angel, a high-functioning individual with Down Syndrome who was last seen in the Onset Ave area. Efforts began immediately after Angel was reported missing and have since continued on, with both law enforcement and concerned residents combing the area.
According to details shared by the police on social media, Angel is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs about 185 pounds. She has green eyes and brown hair. Before going missing, she was possibly wearing either a blue or pink T-shirt along with pink shorts. She is usually seen in brightly colored clothing, which authorities hope may aid in locating her quickly as the search continues.
The appeal to the public for any leads or sightings has seen the community rally together on social media and physical search parties – a testament to the levels of concern and the solidarity amongst townsfolk. Residents have been urged, if Angel is seen, to not hesitate but call 911 with information that could assist in her safe return.
