A Connecticut man is behind bars, facing multiple charges in the wake of a stabbing at a Massachusetts campground that left two injured and endangered young children. Jeffrey Deluca, 47, of Wilton, was arrested following the incident on Friday night at the Mount Greylock Campground in Lanesborough, as confirmed by the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office.
Authorities have characterized the attack as "unprovoked," with Deluca allegedly having stabbed the two men in front of children. The victims, fortunately, were whisked away to Berkshire Medical Center with the expectation of survival. Deluca's charges are grave, including two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of reckless endangerment of a child, and two counts of armed assault with intent to murder, among others, NBC Boston reported.
Following the arraignment yesterday, the Central Berkshire District Court has ordered that Deluca be held on grounds of dangerousness.
