In the early hours yesterday, a high-speed chase resulted in a fiery crash at an abandoned gas station on Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy. According to the Atlanta Police Department, an officer spotted a white Dodge Challenger lying on the ground in the vicinity of the 3000 block of Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy NW. When the officer tried to pull over the vehicle, the driver made a break for it, heading in the opposite direction.
Shortly after eluding law enforcement, the suspect inadvertently crashed into the disused gas station located at 2980 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy NW. The collision set the vehicle ablaze, with both the driver and passenger trapped inside. The authorities quickly responded; officers managed to pull out the passenger, while Atlanta Fire and Rescue intervened to successfully extricate the driver and extinguish the fire.
Both of the vehicle's occupants were conscious when they were transported to the hospital for treatment. The driver, identified as Mr. Bryant Ja'Corey De'Juan, is expected to face charges as the investigation into the incident unfolds.
