
Following a severe traffic collision in Vacaville, emergency responders were dispatched to Gibson Canyon Road last Friday. According to a social media post from the Vacaville Fire Protection District, the incident involved a white sedan that crashed into a tree, trapping the sole occupant within the mangled metal confines of their vehicle.
The crash, which shook the calm of rural Vacaville shortly after 9:00 PM, merited the immediate attention of the Vacaville Fire Protection District crews who set upon the scene, accompanied by neighboring fire departments from the City of Vacaville and the California Medical Facility Fire. As per the Vacaville Fire Protection District, the collaborative effort saw firefighters engage in what was described as a "complex extrication operation."
After an extended operation, the driver was successfully freed from the wreckage. In light of the collision's severity, the victim was transported "Code 3" to a local trauma center.
