An East Bridgewater man led law enforcement on a high-speed chase that spanned several highways, finally coming to a halt near Attleboro after a sequence of attempts by police to stop the erratic vehicle. Mohamed Jalloh, the driver, has been arrested and is facing multiple charges which include failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, a breakdown lane violation, a marked lane violation, and unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, according to WHDH.

The chase began when the blue Jeep Liberty failed to stop for police on Route 24 in Brockton, which was not the first instance of the vehicle evading law enforcement. Massachusetts State Police spokesperson Tim McGuirk revealed that the Jeep continued to severely put to test the limits of law enforcement's pursuit capabilities, even after its tires were compromised by stop sticks, as MassLive reported. This daring chase extended across the southbound side of Route 24, onto Interstate 495, and south onto Interstate 95, culminating in an eventual crash and foot chase.

Authorities had to deploy stop sticks multiple times during the pursuit. The first set successfully damaged a tire on the Jeep as it transitioned from Route 24 to Interstate 495 North, but the determined driver continued onto Interstate 95 on the rim of the wheel after losing a tire. As Jalloh approached Exit 2A, the vehicle lost control and crashed. Law enforcement observed Jalloh fleeing the vehicle on foot into a wooded area, resulting in an expansive search involving a drone unit from the Rhode Island State Police and K-9 units from the Massachusetts State Police.

A drone operated by the Rhode Island State Police managed to quickly locate Jalloh, concealing himself in a heavily wooded area in Attleboro, stated authorities in reports obtained by WHDH. Massachusetts State Police K-9s were then sent to apprehend the individual, eventually taking him into custody. Jalloh is expected to be arraigned in Brockton District Court in connection with the wild highway pursuit.
