
An incident at the Edmond CityLink Bus Station on Friday morning left a manager with injuries following a stabbing, authorities said. According to a post by the Edmond Police Department on social media, the altercation began when a man, who had urinated on himself, boarded a bus and was approached by the manager.
The situation escalated after the man became verbally aggressive and refused to leave the bus at the manager's request during the 7:45 A.M. incident, as per the report by the police department the altercation progressed rapidly, with the suspect assaulting the manager who sustained a stab wound to the abdomen before the suspect fled on foot, leaving behind a scene of chaos and concern among onlookers and fellow employees. Even wounded, the manager maintained composure, providing a thorough suspect description to the dispatchers, with his coworkers administering first aid until help arrived.
Assistance from the Edmond Fire Department and local law enforcement was dispatched promptly, and the stabbed manager received immediate medical attention on the scene before being transported to the hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition. Police later apprehended the suspect, 47-year-old David Thomas, near the bus station area, and he was subsequently placed under arrest, said the Edmond Police Department.
