Authorities in El Paso County have apprehended a man facing a slew of charges involving sexual offenses against children. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 47-year-old Hector Martinez via a social media post, sharing details of the operation carried out by the Fugitive Apprehension Unit yesterday. Martinez was located and taken into custody on the 6000 block of Delta Drive, wanted on multiple serious charges related to child sexual assault.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Martinez had evaded the authorities until his recent capture. He was wanted on allegations severe in nature – including eight counts of Sexual Assault of a Child, seven counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault, and one count of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact.
Though Martinez resisted arrest at the moment of apprehension, deputies managed to secure him without further complications. Prior efforts to locate Martinez had proven futile, underscoring the significance of his arrest.
